BrassNeck ladies Race for Life to fight cancer!

A contingent of ladies from BrassNeck Theatre made their annual trip down to Ilkley on Sunday to take part in this year’s Race for Life event to raise money to fight Cancer.  Many of the participants had their own personal reasons for taking part whilst others simply showed the team spirit of BrassNeck by joining in the fundraising.  This year’s group ranged from age 5 to, well, 50+ and participated at a variety of levels.  Chris Clarke, Jane Stebbings, Deana Roberts, Emily Taylor and Lauren Clarke all competed with the runners whilst the remainder of the group which included 4 children and 1 dog (!) joined in with the large numbers of walkers.

The sun shone and good fun was had by all, but more importantly the BrassNeck ladies have so far raised over £700 which is a fantastic effort and a great contribution towards the ongoing fight against Cancer.
