The Producers – rehearsals underway

Rehearsals are now underway for The Producers and the cast are already working hard to shake off the lethargyof the Christmas break! This is a massive venture for any theatre company to take on and we are very aware of the challenge it presents. People are already toilingaway behind the scenes to work out the logistics of staging this production at our venue, and whilst this provides its own unique challenges we are sure that we have already got the foundations of a fantastic production once again. Whilst The Producers is a very popular musical to theatrical folk it is not necessarily the type of show that draws in the crowds in the way that some of our previous productions have done. On that note, it is imperative that even at this early stage all our members do their utmost to push ticket sales. Whilst it is undoubtedly easier for cast members to sell tickets it is the responsibility of all members to do their bit. Some people may take a bit more persuading than normal but let’s all make the extra effort to get them through the doors!
